Northvolt is a European supplier of high-quality battery cells and systems, made in an environmentally sustainable way. The company was founded in 2016 with the mission to build the world’s greenest battery with a minimal carbon footprint and the highest recycling capabilities.
In the plant located in Gdańsk we produce energy storage systems and battery modules that replace internal combustion engines in industrial machines. Currently Northvolt Poland is increasing its manufacturing capabilities by building a highly-automated, state-of-the-art production plant.
With our rapid expansion, we are looking for Mechanical Maintenance Technician for our new facility.
Key responsibilites:
In the plant located in Gdańsk we produce energy storage systems and battery modules that replace internal combustion engines in industrial machines. Currently Northvolt Poland is increasing its manufacturing capabilities by building a highly-automated, state-of-the-art production plant.
With our rapid expansion, we are looking for Mechanical Maintenance Technician for our new facility.
Key responsibilites:
- conducting preventive inspections of production lines and technological devices in accordance with the maintenance plan
- maintaining production flow and control over production equipment functioning
- repairing machines and devices
- active participation in failure analyses
- improving the reliability of the machine park by introducing corrective and preventive solutions
- co-creating and developing procedures and instructions for newly installed production lines and technological devices
- preparing documentation
- minimum secondary technical education with a mechanic, mechatronics, mechanical engineering or a similar profile
- knowledge in the field of mechanics
- at least 2 years of experience on a similar position in a production company
- good command of English
- the ability to diagnose and eliminate mechanical failures
- experience in reading technical documentation
- knowledge of the principles of greasing, pneumatics, technical drawing
- basic practical knowledge of MS Word and Excel
- ability to work in a team and to cooperate actively with maintenance and production staff
- focusing on development and self-improvement, having a growth mindset
- readiness to work in a 4-shift system
- readiness for frequent business trips abroad in the first phase of launching the production
- experience in repairs and maintenance in a highly automated production environment (knowledge of the basics of automation)
- SEP qualifications
- UDT forklift license
- experience in working with workshop equipment (lathe, milling machine, grinder)

The NORTHVOLT team of experts is currently building a new generation lithium-ion cell factory in northern Sweden, focusing on process innovation, scale and vertical integration of processes.
