Assistant Manager - Indirect Tax Reporting

Working as part of Thomson Reuters’ Corporates business, you will be part of the Indirect Tax Compliance team supporting tax filings for 40+ jurisdictions in EMEA and APAC. While the role is based in Gdansk, Poland, you will work closely with colleagues based in India and other locations. You will report to Indirect Tax Compliance Manager based in Gdansk, Poland.
We're looking for a collaborative Assistant Manager - Indirect Tax Reporting to be responsible for managing indirect tax compliance in the EMEA&APAC region for Thomson Reuters entities.
Working with external compliance service providers, you will monitor deliverables and ensure that all returns are filed timely and accurately.
About the Role
In this opportunity as Assistant Manager - Indirect Tax Reporting, you will:
  • Prepare and file indirect tax returns in EMEA and APAC region
  • Review tax reports prepared by the external service providers, initiate payment requests
  • Reconcile GL accounts
  • Liaise with external and internal parties within the indirect tax function and other financial functions
  • Support tax audits
  • Identify and implement process improvements opportunities
About You
You’re a fit for the role of Assistant Manager - Indirect Tax Reporting if your background includes:
  • At least 2-3 years of professional experience in tax, accounting; experience in EMEA VAT compliance is required
  • University degree in Business Economics/Accounting/Taxation is preferred
  • SAP and accounting knowledge
  • Strong analytical skills, attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines
  • Fluent communication skills in English. Other European language is an advantage
  • Team work and ability to perform tasks independently
