Northvolt is establishing its first facility to industrialize and produce battery systems. In order to meet the increased customers demand for complete battery solutions on the European market. We are establishing a highly automated, state-of-the-art production facility for battery modules and energy storage solutions in Gdansk, Poland.
We are currently looking for the experienced Environmental, Health and Safety Specialist, who will support the development of all Environmental, Health and Safety (EHS) programs at the site.

We are currently looking for the experienced Environmental, Health and Safety Specialist, who will support the development of all Environmental, Health and Safety (EHS) programs at the site.
Key responsibilities:
- Policies and procedures development related to the environment, health, safety, security, emergency, work environment programs.
- Support incidents investigations to determine root cause, required corrective and preventive actions.
- Ensuring compliance with all relevant EU and country specific laws and regulations.
- Development and delivery of mandatory and non-mandatory training programs.
- Risk Assessments completion to improve working conditions.
- Reporting potential risks and opportunities.
- Communication with local authorities, contractors and employees regarding EHS information.
- Reporting compliance obligations to all relevant bodies.
- Support tasks assigned by Line Manager

- Bachelor's degree in environmental science, health and safety, industrial ecology or other relevant qualification.
- Experience in manufacturing environment will be an advantage.
- Relevant ISO standards knowledge.
- Report writing experience.
- Good presentation skills.
- Advanced knowledge of environmental, health and safety regulations and labour law.
- Good problem solver with can do attitude.
- Strong interpersonal and relationship building skills.
- Excellent English and Polish speaking and writing skills.
- Safety first mindset.
- Capability to work independently, able to take initiative, prioritize tasks, and resolve problems in a timely manner.

- Highly organized and result-driven individual

Northvolt Ett is a next generation battery cell factory focused on process innovation, scale and vertical integration. Once completed, the gigafactory will be one of the largest battery cell factory in Europe and produce at least 32 GWh of capacity annually.
Alongside Northvolt Ett, Northvolt is also establishing a manufacturing site for battery systems in Gdansk, Poland. This facility, Northvolt Battery Systems Jeden, will industrialize and produce world leading battery systems in order to meet the increased demand for complete battery solutions on the European market. The factory is a highly automated, state-of-the-art production facility for battery modules and energy storage solutions.
We are currently in an exciting fast-growing phase and operate in a dynamic environment, dealing with a wide range of stakeholders. We are staffing our international office in Stockholm, our R&D facility, Northvolt Labs in Västerås, as well as Northvolt Battery Systems Jeden, in Gdansk, for production of battery systems. We are also preparing for upcoming positions at the main factory, Northvolt Ett, in Skellefteå.
We want to work with experienced manufacturing experts as well as talented and purpose driven people from all kinds of disciplines to make this happen.
