Junior Tax Analyst - Tax Software
This hybrid position is based in Gdansk.

The Tax & Accounting Product team within Thomson Reuters are a leading provider of technology, compliance solutions and tax compliance software. We have a large and varied customer base that includes accounting, tax and corporate finance professionals in accounting firms, as well as corporations, law firms and government bodies. Our clients use our software to ensure that they're paying the right amount of indirect tax (like VAT) when completing their global transactions.
Working as part of Thomson Reuters’ Product business, you’ll be responsible for developing and maintaining tax content for ONESOURCE Indirect Tax, our leading global tax compliance software solution. You will be part of a wider Global Compliance and Reporting team which is based in the UK, US, Poland, France, Spain, and India.
You will work on sophisticated spreadsheets (tax templates) containing tax rules and calculations related to VAT in various countries. These tax templates are then used by our customers to meet their tax compliance needs.
About the Role
In this opportunity as a Junior Tax Analyst, you will:
- Undertake tax research. You'll review tax authority documents, global tax legislation and other information sources to ensure that our software is kept up to date and working correctly as global tax laws change.
- Use SQL, Python and Excel to test our software and ensure it is working correctly. Training for SQL and Python will be provided.
- Review and test tax templates to ensure they meet our software's requirements.
- Update, test and review various areas of our tax software products.
- Help our clients by answering questions and resolving their queries (full training provided!).
- Work closely with a friendly and collaborative tax product team.
You’re a fit for the role of Junior Tax Analyst at Thomson Reuters if you:
- Have a degree in any discipline.
- Are interested by a career in tax technology and tax software.
- Enjoy working with Microsoft Excel and want to be part of a software product team.
- Have a strong interest in technology and software systems, with a good eye for small detail.
- Have an organised approach to work and want to be part of a global team.
- Have strong written and verbal English language skills.
- Some work experience or a general interest in tax technology, tax compliance and / or advisory will be considered a plus, but is not a requirement.
