Senior Accounting Specialist (Solvency II / IFRS17)

How you will get the job done

• operational reporting and data reporting in accordance with Solvency II/ IFRS17 and for institutions for occupational retirement provision
• coordinating and preparing annual and quarterly financial statements in accordance to Solvency II/ IFRS17
• carrying out balance sheet deviation analyses and quality assurance of the financial statement data supplied in accordance to Solvency II/ IFRS17 for the respective reporting occasions as well as preparation of internal and external reporting, including to the Management Board, the Supervisory Board, BaFin / Deutsche Bundesbank
• contacting auditors for all questions relating to annual and quarterly financial statements in accordance to Solvency II/ IFRS17
• managing and participating in projects related to Solvency II/ IFRS 17

Skills and experience you will need

• fluent English (B2/C1) 
• successfully completed university studies in Economics with a focus on external accounting, auditing, insurance or university studies in (Business) Mathematics
• several years of professional experience in a comparable position and respective area of responsibility
• very good knowledge of Solvency II regulations for insurance companies
• proficient in SAP – especially FI and SEM-BCS, very good knowledge of standard Office software and experience in the use of databases
• strong analytical thinking skills and special ability to analyze complex accounting issues and to present them in an understandable verbal and graphic form
• high level of leadership skills and appreciative communication behavior combined with a very high degree of commitment, independence and a sense of responsibility

Nice to have

• knowledge of German language
