  • Write news alerts, stories and quick sidebar stories on major events in Ukraine and, occasionally, Moldova
  • Build relationships with key government departments, the military and companies to ensure Reuters gets the news first
  • Be part of Reuters’ large editorial centre in Gdansk, which will give you exposure to the company’s broader global operations and opportunities for secondments elsewhere
About You
To be Ukraine Breaking News Correspondent you will have:
  • Fluent English and Ukrainian language skills
  • At least two years’ experience covering news in Ukraine or elsewhere in Eastern Europe
  • A deep understanding of the Ukraine war, as well as Ukrainian politics and economics
  • Ability to work calmly under pressure and maintain strict discipline on adhering to Reuters editorial standards
  • Excellent news writing skills
  • Good communication skills and the ability to work well in a team
Please note, the deadline for applications is Sunday 18th June,, 2023.
NB: To be considered for this opportunity please ensure that you submit BOTH a CV and Cover Letter. Your Cover Letter should be addressed to “Whom It May Concern” and should detail your motivations for applying to the role.
