The digitalization team at Northvolt is looking for candidates that get excited about the idea of making a factory smart using a cutting-edge technology stack.
What does it mean?
You will be responsible for identifying opportunities for process improvement and automation, and work with stakeholders across the organization to implement digital solutions that will help our organization become more efficient, effective and innovative.
Do you have an example of what I would do?
You will be responsible for planning, coordinating, and overseeing the implementation of a digital reporting tool, critical for the daily operations of the production, warehouse, and maintenance teams. The initial phase involves a thorough analysis of business requirements and the functionalities of current tools. Following this, you will develop an implementation plan and lead user training sessions. Throughout the project, your focus will be on collecting feedback from all involved parties to continuously refine and enhance the project's outcomes. This position requires a methodical approach to project management and a commitment to improving operational efficiency through digital solutions. Working on this, you are more than likely to talk with people from various backgrounds and nationalities as we are currently people from more than 70 nations working at Northvolt.

About the team:
The essence of the Digitalization team's is streamlining our manufacturing processes, leveraging data for operational excellence, and fostering a culture that embraces digital tools as an integral part of our daily work by:
- Architecting our digital landscape, meticulously designing and enhancing systems to improve operational workflows, and ensuring these changes resonate with the pulse of our factory's needs.
- Acting as bridge between technology and people, not only implementing systems that are powerful and insightful but also intuitive, ensuring a smooth adoption curve for all our employees across various functions.
- Transforming numbers and metrics into actionable insights that propel our operational efficiency forward.
We believe that you:
- Have a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a closely related field.
- Have a minimum of 2 years of experience in project management, specifically within digitalization initiatives.
- Have the ability to work independently and in a team environment.
- Can demonstrate proficiency in various project management methodologies, tools, and techniques.
- Have experience in a highly automated manufacturing environment.
- Have expertise in the integration of MES with ERP systems
- Familiarity with advanced data analysis tools and techniques,
- While not essential, if you’ve got insights into streamlining production processes through technology, we’d be excited to hear about it

Northvolt Ett is a next generation battery cell factory focused on process innovation, scale and vertical integration. Once completed, the gigafactory will be one of the largest battery cell factory in Europe and produce at least 32 GWh of capacity annually.
Alongside Northvolt Ett, Northvolt is also establishing a manufacturing site for battery systems in Gdansk, Poland. This facility, Northvolt Battery Systems Jeden, will industrialize and produce world leading battery systems in order to meet the increased demand for complete battery solutions on the European market. The factory is a highly automated, state-of-the-art production facility for battery modules and energy storage solutions.
We are currently in an exciting fast-growing phase and operate in a dynamic environment, dealing with a wide range of stakeholders. We are staffing our international office in Stockholm, our R&D facility, Northvolt Labs in Västerås, as well as Northvolt Battery Systems Jeden, in Gdansk, for production of battery systems. We are also preparing for upcoming positions at the main factory, Northvolt Ett, in Skellefteå.
